I have my first fitting on Saturday and was wondering if anyone can recommend a really good brand of corsets (or whatever you call those things you wear under the dress! ). I need something that's really going to hold it all in there and take me down an inch or two (or 3 or 4' ). Any recommendations would be really helpful. Thanks a bunch

Re: Really good corsets?
I think meschantes is one of the best but it is a special order. I would go to georgettes and have them help you. I plan on going there for mine.
ETA: Did a google search and they now sell on ebay and the prices are much less then on the site:
You are awesome --thanks!! I'm actually back in Canada for work so I need to find somewhere that can ship it to me overnight or something for my Saturday fitting. I completely didn't even think about this until a few days ago Oh, and I need shoes too!
Saturday is the first fitting and I'll make sure to take pics -- unless I'm crying hysterically because my dress doesn't fit. Though that could be entertaining as well
I am going to Bra Tenders a new vendor on here. My bridal salon recommended them. It's appt only, and they told me to make an appt 3 weeks before the fitting in case they had to order something.

Not to be 'all up in your business' () or anything, but did you get the underbust or overbust corset? Thanks

I went to the website but their corsets are backordered until August! Do they sell them in the stores as well?

I was thinking about getting one too - but how could you order that with out trying it on with the dress?
I have trouble judging how under things look with dresses... even trying them on. Something could look great in the store, and you get it home and it doesn't work with the dress - or - your girls look all out of control or something

Re: Really good corsets?
I'm not sure where you bought your dress, but many stores have a selection of corsets/bustiers that you can try on with the dress on the day of your fitting. That way, you can buy it right there on the spot. You may not want to rely on that, but if you're pressed for time, I say look for shoes first.
Can't wait to see pictures of you in your dress!

Re: Really good corsets?
I actually got mine at Fredericks! i really didnt have much faith in going there, but VS had NOTHING when i went, so i figured i'd check out Fredericks, and they had a decent amount of styles to choose from, and my mom, sister and I all ended up getting the same one from there... it worked awesome! (im honestly still shocked )

Re: Really good corsets?
Any suggestions on a really lightweight, seamless, thin, low back corset? I really want to have hold for the boobs, but no extra material around the body. tia
