FH and I were woken up at 5:30 this morning by a building worker because the building was flooding. Turns out the pipe in our 2nd bathroom had burst during the night and our entire apartment was flooded.... it was a huge mess and neither of us could go to work today. Maintenance was in here all day trying to get up the water, they had to rip up every inch of carpeting, and move all of our furniture around to do everything. Luckily we don't need to move.
Oh yeah, and we live on the TENTH floor on a high rise. try explaining to people how we got flooded with 2+ inches of water when we live hundreds of feet off the ground!
We are just so exhausted and now we both need to work non-stop until Friday. My parents come in on Saturday and the e-party is on Sunday.

Geez, welllook at teh brightside at least your furniture didnt get ruined or that all of that water didnt causea fire somewhere else. So be thankful for that. Other than that Im sorry you had to go through that!

Oh my goodness. I am so sorry! I hope they were able to recover everything and I hope that if they weren't, you have flood insurance. I am so sorry this happened. Just to try to concentrate on Saturday and Sunday! They will be wonderful days!!!!!!!!!!!!
