Really Junky Day yesterday
It was terrible enough that it was Sept. 11, the kids were especially riled up in class and then I had to jet to grad school. I get back to where I parked my car by the train and it's gone! I paniced. I called bf and he's like 'are you sure you parked there. Walk down a few of the blocks' (URRRRR), I did anyway and still gone. I was SO UPSET. The car is a week old! I also had my lesson plan book, my grade book, about 10 library books (for the kids), 2 blockbuster movies and just other teaching books in the car. What a mess!
Bf came down to meet me and we ran up to the 114 to be told it wasn't their district, we then drove down to the 108 in LIC (did see the Twin Tower lights), YET I did not know my license plate by heart and we do not have the title yet as the car is so new. I did have the insurance card with me, but the co. had written our vin wrong and the cop could not run the car. (It wasn't listed yet for some reason under my name). I was so upset. We drove back to where I parked and THEN realized what the sign said. No parking 10-6 (I parked at 3:45). I was HOPING at this point they towed it. Yet the pound was closed. I did not find out till this a.m. that my car WAS actually towed, not stolen.
I was MAD though b/c I was parked and then b/c it was between 2 driveways I didn't feel it safe there (the sign said no parking 10-10:30), so this guy directly in front pulled out and I pulled into his spot (not 5 feet forward). I glanced at the sign and it said no parking 10 (I didn't see the rest of it). I was so upset.
To give bf credit he did not get mad or yell and actually took the night off from work to drive me around and he did calm me down. It just seemed though that between this, grad school and an especially unruly class, I just was so deflated. I cried most of the night....
Waiting on bf now to pick me up to pay to get the car out. I'm hoping it is not all scraped up. :(
Thanks for listening ladies.![]()
