Really mad!!!

So I don't really ever post but figured you girls would understand...I called Macy's last night to check on the status of my dress because it was supposed to be in sometime this month. They told me they don't expect it to be shipped until the middle of april!!! and my wedding is May 23rd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you maybe speak to management and let them know that you need the dress much sooner than that.

OMG what the heck is that about!!! How do they expect you to make sure everything is ok plus alterations.

That's like a month and a half.
My dress wont be in until 2 months before.. so really that's like only 14 days more than yours. I think some places do that on purpose so you dont have a dress just sitting around??
I think that's also why a lot of brides lie about their wedding date.

My mother had the same experience with them!!!!! .... She ordered her dress for the wedding in October and they told her it would come in at the end of January .. the dress did not come in until March and she wound up absolutely HATING the color ... now she has only 3 months to have the dress reordered and they told her 'hopefully the end of April' ....i don't trust them ... i'd call and harass the manager until you get a definite answer ... they seem to have a track record of doing this!!!!

I ordered back in August and I am not getting mine until end of April that is about the same time as you - I wasnt worried - I owuld think they know how long they need for alterations -

I was told that brides usually do not want final fittings until as close to the Wedding as possible so that is why they do not get all the dresses in early and they would have a storage problem if everyones dress came in early and just sat around

i flip out!! but stay calm maybe it will come a little earlied and if it gets to close for you comfort then i would flip!!

ps my Girlfriend is getting married the same day at the estates!! country gardens is beautiful i looked there my self!! congrats!!

I think you have plenty of time. You really do not need months for alterations. If it comes in In April that gives you over a month for alterations and you should be fine. I would just call a few times to keep on top of it.

I think you have plenty of time. You really do not need months for alteratins. Did you ask them how many fittings you will need? Most people need about 3 apts. I think you will be fine. Dont stress over it it will be ok.
