really need some happy news
i apologie in advance this is a long one
ok so first off im not one to vent but good god today as just been one of those days!! when it rains it pours!! literally
ok well yesterday my mom was in car accident she was rear-ended by a tractor trailer so that was really scary but luckily it was in bad traffic so no one was going fast and shes completley fine just without a car for now
tonight me and FH were set to go on a special date to celebrate our anniversary that was Feb 7th - just a little backstory my FH is a merchant marine and works out of houston right now so i dont get to see him very often he works on the boat for 30 days straight then hes home for 15 and then back to the boat. well he was supposed to come home last night but stayed an extra day in houston because he interviewed this morning for an offshore position (which would mean a permanent move to houston for us but i'd have him off the boat and home every night so while the move is bittersweet its well worth it) so anyway his flight was supposed to come in at 6 and we have front row tickets to go see Rascall Flatts tonight to Nassau Coliseum. well because of todays rain his flight was delayed 2 hours, he wont be in NY till 8 and the concert starts at 7:30 so by the time i picked him up and we got to the show it would be ending. Plus there was a major eff up at work and im probably gonna be working till god knows when tonight. so FH will probably have to pay for a cab from laguardia to syosset (like we can afford that?). The only upside is that my dad works right by my office so on his lunch break he came by and picked up the tickets from me i'd rather my parents enjoy the concert than let the tckts go to waste.
i know there are bigger things to be sad about and life could always be way worse and its just a concert but im just sad this job of FH's has made him miss christmas, new years, our anniversary and valentines day this year alone (not to mention on this trip home instead of getting his standard 15 days hes only getting 9 because their making him go to captain's conference in texas for 6 days!!) i just miss him so much![]()
i just wish he would hurry up and get here already its just getting so tough without him. im sorry for the vent ladies just had to get it off my chest so i didnt start crying in my cube.
