REALLY need your help girls . . .

I am torn between 2 resorts for our HM. One is the El Dorado Royale and the other is the Royal Hideaway- both in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

We can stay at El Dorado Royal for 12 days in a Casita Suite for what I am estimating to be 1,000 less. Here is the website: http://karismahotels.com/listTemplate.aspx?menuId=resorts&langId=2

OR

We can stay at the Royal Hideaway in a standard garden view room for the same amount of time, for what I am estimating to be $1,000 more than the above resort. Here is the website: http://royalhideaway.com/

Would you girls please do a thorough review of each of the websites for these resorts and honestly vote on what you think we should do.

I really appreciate this (it is such a HARD decision!!!!)

A website I usually go to before I book a hotel to read reviews is:
trip advisor

When you are on the website just type in the hotel name and hit search and you can read peoples honest reviews on different hotels.

I went to the Royal Hideaway with my FH for vacation two years ago - it is amazing, very pampered, beautiful rooms, nice spa, gourmet food, etc. I would recommend it to everyone!

Trip Advisor is a great site. We used it to help pick out our honeymoon hotel.

I dont know much about those hotels, but I have stayed at an Occidental resort before in Spain and it was UNBELIEVABLY gorgeous. The service there was truly exceptional.

Whichever you choose, they both look gorgeous!

The first thing you should do is find out if the second hotel is worth the extra grand. The best way to do this is to do a side by side comparison of the amenities. Create yourself a chart and write down each item they offer. See what the real difference is.

I just replied to your fm with my review of the Royal Hideaway. It was fabulous. I haven't been to the other resort you're considering so its hard to compare. I do know you will not be disappointed with the RH. It has 7 restaurants (no buffet dinners, all nice sit downs), several pools, a great beach, a wonderful spa, very attentive staff, clean rooms - they clean your room twice a day!, stocked fridge of drinks, waiters to bring you drinks and food on the beach and at the pool......I could go on and on .....
