We're looking into a restaurant to take my MIL for her 60th birthday. She wants seafood somewhere on LI... she's in Babylon, so somewhere close would be good! any suggestions??

I know it's far, but anywhere on the Nautical Mile in Freeport. EB Eliotts, 42, The Schooner, adn Otto's are my favorite.

If you want near Babylon, a good seafood place right on the water is Porky & Glenn's. The place isn't fancy though, it's casual.

Riverbay is probably the best seafood restaurant on the island - but nautical mile has some good ones already mentioned

Kingstons in Sayville on the water again not a fancy place but good food!!! Sea Basin in Rocky Point, Legal seafood in Huntington, Dockside in Port Jefferson, Danfords one of my favorites also in Port Jefferson.

I heard they were bought out and changed names. There is Pier 44 in Babylon down by the docks...it's actually next to Babylon Fish and Clam, which is NOT the Clam and Oyster Bar. There is The Riverview and The Snapper Inn down in Oakdale, also.

Pier 44 in Babylon
If you want a little fancy place, try Captain Bills in Bay Shore (we have had several Company Christmas parties there & gone there several times on our own!!)) Yummy!!
