We have 3 groomsmen that live in GA and they have been friends with FH since he was like 8. We went TO GEORGIA to visit them, they are brothers, spent like $1,000 to fly down, stay at a hotel and blah blah. So we invite them and their wives to the wedding of course and I also send them cute little thank you cards and a pic of the 4 guys, FH and the 3 brothers along with the Out of State Tux rental form...that was AUGUST 20th...we NEVER HEAR FROM THEM AGAIN...no tux rental form NO rsvp... Yesterday was our RSVP date AND FH's birthday...2 call, one says Happy Birthday but dodges the tux rental form claiming he sent it...then asks how much it is to rent a tux, FH says $135...HE FREAKS!! He thought the $25 he was suppose to send WAS THE RENTAL!! WHERE DO YOU GET A TUX FOR $25!!!! OMG!! Then another one calls and says 'Yeah no, I can't come to the wedding, guess I can't be in the party...*****...welp, I'm gonna go SMOKE A BOWL...laterz' WHAT ?!?!?!?!?! WHAT!!!!! Then FH and I get into a NICE fight and this and the fight 'ruin' his birthday'...we never even heard from the 3rd brother...I am counting all 3 out...awesome...now I have 8 girls and 6 guys...A$$HOLES!!!

Oh that blows!!!!!! I just don't understand people. I couldnt handle it if this happened to me. Its not fair and its pretty close to the wedding too. At least it happened now instead of the day of.
Maybe you can have some of the guys go down the aisle with 2 girls, they'll get a kick out of that one.

Melissa, Oh Yeah, we have dealt with this with our wedding party. Basically you need to put your foot down big time. I know you can tell the three of them where it's at. Some People can be so ridiculous, seriously. Just tell them where it's at and the fact that they are not getting their $25 dollars back. If you need anything FM us on October 8, 2007 we will be back from our Disneymoon. Talk to you soon.

Let me tell you-The GMs in our wedding gave us such a hard time about everything that DH and I rented the tux for two of them as their gift. Then one of them never gave us a gift and the other one's gf gave us a silver picture frame. They really acted like it was an inconvienience to be in the wedding party. My BIL also made a gigantic deal about EVERYTHING and even called up DH to quit the GMs because he was worried we were going to seat him away from his wife.
My BP on the other hand, were awesome.

that happened to us too!! DH INSISTED on asking these two friends of his from HS, who I were worried about from the start. i knew there was no way they'd be reliable and follow through on ANYTHING. they both live in San Diego and the wedding was in NY. they showed up to his bachelor party in vegas, caused HUGE problems there (that is a story for another day) and then told him at the end of the weekend, oh yeah, we can't make it to the wedding. he was like, but your groomsmen. . . and they both claimed he NEVER asked them and didn't know about it!! i was there when he asked them, so i know they are full of sh!t. he hasn't talked to either of them since. however, the remaining 4 GM and my 6 BMs were FAB. so don't let these 3 @ssholes get you down!! just focus on the rest of your amazing BP

We just got the Tux rental form from the one that THINKS he MIGHT make it...and there was no signature on it, there has to be one, and no check...SHOCKING...jerks

WOW! We have had similar problems. We had 2 of our GM's back out like 2 weeks ago. They had known about it for over a year and half and then now back out! And this is after FH being in both of their weddings and best man to one of them. FH has done so much for them and then go and do this to him. So we are going to have an uneven number of GMs to BMs too. But at least the ones that we have in our wedding party now we know are our good friends, not like these other two jerks.
