REALLY RSVPer?

I know I haven't been on a lot, things are super crazy with my summer course and the wedding being in a month!

But I HAD to tell you about FHs friend. Our RSVP date was June 1st, we never get a card, this guy lives in Oregon, he never made a hotel reservation so we called. No answer. No reply to FHs message. We assume he isn't coming. He calls today and says 'Oh, I should know by the 20th if I can come or not'

*** We have to give our final head count next week, sorry buddy. If you don't know, we will count you as a no and tough nuggets. Ugh. what is wrong with people?

We just had one of FH's friends that RSVPd yes tell us she isnt sure she can come anymore

that's a peeve. What I would do is not tell the Riviera the actual number and leave a few people off just in case of no shows. You can always pay them the day of (just have the money set aside) or when you do your final drop off and know the exact number.

They actually suggested that we do this because it's always easy to pay for the extras, it's not so easy to get money back after you've paid.

hi there, sorry 'bout the lack of manners with your guest. you sure you need the final head counts by next week? i thought we had until at least 10 days before the wedding, no?

everything I have says 2 weeks before since that is when the final payment is, but my mom is going over there with the final payment a little early since thats the only time she can go.

Im a little worried about leaving people off....we BARELY made our min of 130! Right now we have 134 (invited 190 ) so I guess I could tell them like two less?

our next mtg with them is 7/2... and i thought that was when we were dropping off our final payment (our wedding is 7/10) and giving them our seating chart.

as for final #'s... i thought they set the tables according to the #'s you have on your seating chart. so if you tell them 132, won't you show 134 on your chart, though?
