sooo what exactly is a blow out? I know when i get a hair cut theyll ask me if i want a blow out and i always say no lol cause it cost extra and ill just do it myself (not to mention that i get a hair cut like once a year lol)
anyways, can i go to a salon and make an appointment for just a blowout? My e-party is sat and its just in fh's parents backyard but i kinda want my hair to have some style to it (the only thing i ever do to my hair is just plain straighten it)
If i can go to a salon and just get a blowout, does anyone have recommendations for a place they know that styles hair nicely lol (i dont want anything crazy just something sorta like the pic below) in nassau? like bellmore, merrick, wantagh ish area??

of course you can but I would say a style instead. I could be wrong but I believe that a blow out is just they blow out your hair (with the blow dryer). If you say a style they'll give you a volumey curl look, well that's what I ask for, you can ask for whatever you want but if you want that picture just say a style. At my salon they cost the same thing so it probably doesn't matter what you say as long as you advise the person doing your hair.

I went to Cactus Salon in Syosset to get a blow out. You don't have to get a haircut if you don't want. The girl did an awesome job. I was so happy with how it came out. If you want the information I can give it to you. Just fm me and I will give you her name and everything. She was great.

yea i found out the hard way what a blow out is. Twice (yes twice) the girls said blow out and i said yes cause i never go to a hair salon i am trying to now because my hair is poopy for it. And they blew dry my hair PIN straight - i have wavy/curly hair. SO now i tell them I want my hair curly but i would like it somewhat dry and they get the point.

You can absolutely do that!
I hate that they charge extra for that..... it should be included with a cut, but, you can make an appointment, and, they'll wash your hair, and blow it straight for you!
I'd bring the pic if that's the style you want!

I blow-out just means that they blow dry your hair. When i get my hair cut, they do a blow out and sorta style it. For the hair in the pic, they may need to use a curling iron to get the long waves so they may consider it a style.
I go to Maximus in the Source mall. They have one in Merrick too.
I have to ask my friend the name of the place she goes to in Bellmore. Its near you on Jerusalem, just past the car wash on the left (heading east coming from you). I will call her today.

I ditto the Maximus...I've gone to the one in the Source a few times just for styling, and my hairdresser Rosemary has been awesome.

Im a hairdresser... and It depends on the place and person you go to.. so just bring the picture,.. It really is just a blow out because they can do that style with a brush if they are talented! otherwise just stick a large curling iron in it..

I had a blowout for my eparty, but it was indoors. Your blowout might be wasted if its humid out!! You might be best w/the flat iron!
