Are original plan was to go to Hawaii for our HM. My sister was going to give us a week time share, but that didn't work out. We thought it might be to much money and decided to change are idea.
Then we decided on Aruba! We were going to stay at the Radisson in a suite. We booked are flight using sky miles.
Now, we kind of regreted not going to Hawaii. So, I called a travel agent and she got us a great deal on Hotels in Hawaii. I call to see if we can redeem are sky miles, and we can. I call to see if there was any flights available to Hawaii, and there was nothing!!! They only hold a certain amount of seat for sky miles.
What would you do??? Spring for the extra $1900 or so to go to Hawaii. Which is already costing alot. OR Stay with Aruba and fly for free, and spend extra money there, like staying in a suitevs. a regular room.

I GOT A FLIGHT TO HAWAII AND I WAS ABLE TO USE SKY MILES!!! WE UP GRADED TO FIRST CLASS, AND USED MORE OF ARE MILES. IT WAS THE ONLY WAY THEY WOULD LET US BOOK, AND I AM SO UPSET ABOUT IT. SO WE ARE ON ARE WAY TO HAWAII OH, AND ARE FIRST YEAR ANNIVERSARY TRIP HAS ALREADY BEEN PLANNED. EUROPEAN CRUISE THAT ENDS IN BARCELONA. FH DREAM IS TO GO TO MADRID, SO WE WILL TAKE THE TRAIN FROM BARCELONA AND STAY IN MADRID. IT IS SO FUNNY HOW ALOT OF US HAVE ALREADY PLANNED YEAR ANNIVERSARY TRIPS. HALF OF US ARENT EVEN MARRIED. THANKS!!!

You should base your decision at this point on what kind of vacatiion you and DH like. If you go to Hawaii you will be doing a lot more sightseeing and moving around. There's so much to see and do there. If you go to Aruba you will probably have more of a relaxing time, as well as shorter flights. DH and I considered Hawaii, but we're really laid back on vacation and decided to do more of a relaxing sit at the beach/pool type of trip.

hmmmmmmm....this is a tough one. If it were me I would splurge & go to Hawaii. I just don't think I would want to regret not going.

I would prefer hawaii over aruba personally, so i would spring for the extra money, but i admit is it a tough choice

Go to Aruba! It is a wonderful island! you will LOVE it! and think of all the extra time you'll have not sitting on a plane for 13 hours, EACH way!

They are both beautiful. I would go to which ever one your budget will allow. Personally, I would rather go back to Aruba. JMO.

It's a trip of a lifetime!!!!
There are few things I regret about my wedding, but one thing I don't regret and so happy that we splurged on is our Honeymoon to Hawaii!!!!!

I would check for better prices on the air. My air was cheaper than $1900 and I just booked this past week.

Congrats. We splurged and are going to Hawaii. I can't wait. After we have kids, there is no way we would or could travel that far from home and we plan to have them pretty soon.
ETA - we booked out flights with the American Airlines Advantage miles from my mom's account. There were limited seats - we got lucky.
