What are all of your weight loss goals? How do you plan on maintaining your weight loss after you achieve your goal?
My goal is to lose a pound a week. I feel this is a healthy rate. Do you all agree?
I just know my body and after a while I can no longer lose...it goes so slowly.
Also, how did you decide how much weight you want to lose? Right now I am just fixated on a stupid number, which may not be the best approach.

Re: reasonable goals...
I was focused on a # of pounds at first, but I found that I was more satisfied that I saw that inches coming off and clothes feeling better. The scale tells me some weeks that I lost 1 lb, and others 2 lbs, but I dont care as long as my clothes keep getting looser. I think your goal of 1 lb a week is healthy, up to 2 lbs is OK. I tend to find that I will lose 1 lb one week and 2-3 the next, so I am averaging in a healthy weight. Good luck!

one pound a week is not only reasonable - but it's possible! there's nothing worse than setting an impossible goal for yourself beacuase it will only frustrate you when you can't do it! and my body stops after a while and takes a rest from losing also - bugs the heck out of me...but that's what our bodies do! good luck!!

Re: reasonable goals...
Well, the way I see it, one pound a week is VERY reasonable. It also puts me almost at my goal weight by the end of the year. The end of the year is far in many ways, but so close in so many others, so although I have a ways to go, it will be here sooner than later. Did that make sense?

Re: reasonable goals...
Thanks ladies, this is my new goal then. I think one pound a week is probably healthy and more realistic, hopefully this will put less pressure on me.
