There's Lenny's, which is just a few blocks down. They have a private room and they're really reasonable.
if you have a large enough party, Saffron will rent out the restaurant to you (Also on Crossbay). Otherwise, you'll just be in the back.
My church is about 2 mi. from Russo's and we did our RD in Forest Hills, which gives a LOT of choice. We had it at Villa Isabella. We had a small party (25ish people) so we were able to do it in this little area in the front by the windows with a piano and Isabella decorated it for us with candles and rose petals. It was awesome.
On the Blvd there's also Matteo's, but they're pricey and NOT handicapped accessible. You have to climb a huge flight of stairs to get to the bathroom, which I found out the hard way when I went there on crutches.
We also looked into Tequila Joe;s on Woodhaven Blvd. Definitely would be a different, fun place.
I also love Joe Abbraciamento on Woodhaven Blvd (which is the same street as Russo's, just changes the name). They have the best food and service. I would have booked them for my RD but they were full.

I love La Villa, but I dont think that they have a room there..

I used to go here all the time with my father when I was little. My mom told me recently that she went there for a reunion. I was under the impression they had a room, unless they just used the main room. I know it was renovated recently also.
