Reba...NO Opinions????

Does anyone watch that show? i love the song it reminds me so much of my mom about being a single mother...and shes def a survivor after all she been through i was thinking of maybe dancing with her to this song....cause obv she was a single mom who raised 2 kids with lil help from father but after looking at lyrics dont think its good what do you think??

I love 'Reba'! Everyone looks at me when I'm nuts, though, when I tell them so I usually just keep it to myself. Anyway, the part they play as the theme song to the show starts with the 'My roots are planted in the past' line, and from then on, it would be nice to dance with your mom to. But the first verse appears to be about how Reba's no-good boyfriend/husband left her, and how she's strong enough to take it because she's been a fighter since she was a baby. Nice message, but I don't know how much you'd want that at your wedding.

So... could you have your DJ fade it in at the appropriate part? If there's a bridge or something before it, it might sound okay and people would think it's just a short song? I've never heard the whole song so I don't know.

In any case, it's a lovely idea that you want to do this with your mom, and everyone will love and appreciate the gesture no matter what song you choose.
