Woodbury Country Club was my first choice to begin with, but originally my father was very adamant about having a kosher wedding. We couldn't afford to do kosher @ Woodbury, that's why I ended up booking at The Sands. Once the Sands bailed on me, I called my Dad and told him what had happened and explained to him that he is going to have budge on the 'kosherness', it's not like there are an overwhelming number of kosher halls out there and we are not so religious to begin with. My Dad agreed and I immediately called up Woodbury Country Club who still had my date available, six months later!!! Fate? It's a possibility. Things happen for a reason? Also a possibility.

Yes, we are doing a 'kosher-style' party and I will get glatt-kosher meals for my really kosher people.

I'm happy for you that things worked out. My FH and I also looked into the Sands in lido. We didn't end up choosing it, but the manager seemed like a really nice guy, I feel bad for him that he's out of a job.
