Yeah !! After stressing out because american airlines cancelled our direct flight into St.Lucia for our hm I happy to say we have been rebooked with a quick stop in San Juan PR - We leave a bit earlier (about 2 hours) but arrive at the same time and bonus at the airport that is only 15 minutes from our resort !! We'll be on the beach by 3pm !!

as far as i know they didnt cancel ours... is it just certain days or all of the direct ones are cancelled?
Edit: for dates in august, the direct flights are still on their website but not for sept?

We had a direct flight going down there and then road on their bus for about a 45 minute trip through St. Lucia which was amazing to me- you get to see the entire island- the poor areas, the farming, everything- it was very eye-opening. Originally we weren't planned to go on that flight, but the morning we arrived at the airport they had changed the flight in NY making it impossible to make our connection in San Juan.
On the way back we went to the other airport and then to San Juan though.
You are going to love St.Lucia though!!!! I miss it so much!!

I just read your post and got scared, checked the AA site and saw our direct flight wasn't listed. I immediately wrote an email to our travel agent and plan on calling her in the morning.

Hmm yeah I am a little concerned.. I am flying with AA too.. Did they cancel all flights and how do you actualy find out about it?

I got an email from american express that AA cancelled our flights and automatically rebooked us on a new flight. I am looking at other places to HM because I prefer direct flights.

I think they are cancelling the flights after Labor Day b/c I played around with the flights on their site and it was no longer available after then. I also asked Travel Tom and he said my flights are fine (July). I would contact AA or your TA for more info.
