Re: Reccomend ur makeup!

I was using benefits concealer, and other foundations but i stopped bc i realized doesnt help my skin. So recently i went back to pressed powder by lancome, its dual matte buff and i like how it feels better on my skin and the way it looks. Alot of foundations have oil in them and were making me oily.

are you looking just for foundation or all make up?

here is a site that tells you about each type of foundation/cover up/ concealer and all that. Tells you the pro's and con's for each type of make up, and which type of coverage is best for certain skin types and the best products. Might be helpful

Hiii, how are you? I haven't been on lately, I've been pretty busy as we all are. lol. Are you getting used to your job??

Anyway, thanks ladies, right now I'm using Clinique, which I like, but I wanted something with a little more coverage and I just bought Stila Illuminizing foundation, but I'm worried bc it's not oil free. I get pretty greasy midday and I have some scarring from some stubborn pimples that lived on my face for quite awhile. Was wondering if anyone else had the same issue.

I use Jane Iredale liquid minerals foundation. I have really sensitive skin but this doesn't irritate it at all. It's worth the $50 price -- one bottle lasts a couple of months. Jane Iredale also makes a pressed powder but I don't use/need that.

they say not to use make up with absolutely no oil in it if you have oily skin, they explained why but i forgot, it says it in the link i posted above. Yeah ive had that problem with scarring from pimples and then how it looks. The benefits did work well for this but it was too greasy for me too, i liked the coverage but didnt like how it felt after a while.

Now I do a soap and sugar scrub i mix it together and this helped my skin alot. But before i put make up on i put ponds cream on, just a little bit massaged into my skin and it helps with how the make up goes on after.

I love this stuff. Or Sally hansen air brush make up.
Everything else I use MAC, smashbox, NARS.

I've heard that about oil in makeup, but I liked the coverage this foundation gave me but I feel like I might have to return it if it makes me break out. Getting old sux bc my undereyes are totally dry but i'm super oily on my forehead and chin.

I have super sensitive skin and hate wearing foundation. Over the winter I lose the tan so I need to suck it up and put something on.. maybelline bream matte mousse is flawless. you cant feel it on. I then sometimes use a clinque bronzer.

yeah ive had to recently change my foundation bc of that reason, some are a bit too oily and cause more skin problems for me, while i liked the coverage it wasnt working well as far as breaking out.

Here is what they do say about oily skin and which foundations are good

Ultra-matte foundations

Pros: These foundations are a superior option if you have seriously oily skin, have trouble with makeup slipping or disappearing as the day goes by, live in a humid climate, exercise but still like having your makeup stay put, or like a completely matte finish. Ultra-matte foundations will outlast any other foundation, with no slippage or movement. If you have very oily skin, these are an absolute must to try.

and here are the ultra-matte foundations they recommend
Products Worth Trying: Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Makeup SPF 10 ($32), Maybelline EverFresh Makeup SPF 14 ($7.49), and Revlon Colorstay Stay Natural Makeup SPF 15 ($10.99).

and i was reading what they said about water based foundations on oily skin. It says this type of foundation makes you look shiny so thats why

have you tried bare minerals?

Re: Reccomend ur makeup!

Thanks for the info! I feel like if I go to Ulta or Sephora I can never get a person who can help me or seems like they know what they are talking about. Yes! I've tried Bare Mineral but I absolutely hated it! My friend from work uses it and it looks so good on her that I went out and bought it, but it didn't give me the same results. I do like to use the mineral veil to keep away the shine though.

I don't wear any foundation. I use a tinted mostirizer with spf in it everyday. It is just enough to even out my skin tone. I like Cover Girl (it comes in a squeeze tube). Then I just dot concelar (almay) on any trouble spots, and finish with CG pressed powder. (the silver case). This doesn't feel too heavy on me. Also I find blotting papers work wonders. Clean and Clear use to make this purple powder to absorb oil. It was transparent. I don't know if they still make it. I remember liking that for oil.

I have combo/oily skin and used Bare Minerals forever -- over time I noticed that it just stopped looking good, it's hard to explain (not to mention I couldn't handle the mess it made in my bathroom). My aesthetician said that if you have oily skin and use it, be sure to wash your brushes every day because otherwise you're literally buffing the oils back into the skin. Oh, and she also said Mineral Veil is a major pore clogger.... it has a different formula than the mineral foundation.

A great line for oily skin is Dermalogica -- their Dermal Clay Cleanser and Oil Control Lotion are amazingggggggggg....

I have oily skin and I've been using Bare Minerals the past few years. I still get oily after awhile but, I think it's better than the liquid foundation I used to use. Now I'm nervous that it's clogging my pores. I try to clean the brushes as often as possible but, every day would be a little much

I have been using bare minerals for about 2-3 years now and I think its great. The coverage looks great and natural, and it doesnt cake which I love esp when the weather is humid and my oild Tzone gets out of control....

Try going to one of their stores and having someone test the makeup on you and see how it goes. I know I have not broken out as I used to while using this product. NOt as harsh on the skin
