when do you do it?

After the ceremony leaving the church?
Entering the reception?

We did not do one because our catering manager thought it would slow down everyone from getting out of the chapel and into the cocktail hour (we did everything at one place). So we just greeted everyone at the cocktail hour.

But usually it is done after the ceremony!
