I thought receiving lines were a little outdated, but i recently went to a wedding where they had one. Is anyone else doing this?

ugh I wish I didnt have to do this.
Maybe I will convince everyone that it is outdated?
I dont like PDA with family members (only FH hehe )and I dont want everyone gushing overme LOL

Nope we are not doing it. We just plan to walk around to each table during the reception as we hand out our favors.

we're not doing one, we are getting married at the hall so ch starts immediately after the ceremony, after fh and i walk down the aisle we're taking pics then hitting ch!!!

We HAD to do one! We weren't planning on doing it but after the wedding the priest arranged us into one...I'm REALLY GLAD we did it though...it was fast and we weren't able to go to every table at the reception, so I'm happy we had a chance to thank our guests that came to the church.

With as many people as we have - I think the wedding will be OVER before we can even get to cocktail hour - so no receiving line for us

We're having one. I didn't want to spend most of our reception time walking around tables. If you do the math, figure between 5-10 minutes per table, that ended up being half our reception time.

We're going to skip the receiving line. Our ceremony is in the hall, both time and space are limited.

I would like to do it, but how can you when youre gettingmarried at your hall and CH starts immediately after?
Were also supposed to take a boat ride somewhere in there..

We're not having one...mostly because we're getting married at our hall. I think if we were getting married at a church we would definitely have one.

i didn't have one, and its one of my biggest regrets. We had planned on visiting all the tables at the reception but we never got to 3/4 of hte tables. i felt terrible about it
