So how does this work? Do you walk out of the church after the mass ends and then walk back in, wait for guests to go outside?? Then go out? Or how does it work?
TIA - I am still undecided about this.

Re: Receiving line at church
yes, you walk out then walk back in
i went to awedding recently that this was done and it was really really nice - they started at the front of the church everyone exited the pews after they said hello to the bride and groom
i think it only worked though because they had like 40 peopel in church
any more than that and it will (a) take too long (b) be annoying for those waiting at the back of the church
i told my DOC i want this only if like 40 or less people show up at church

Re: Receiving line at church
We walked out into the church vestibule.., Our church has 2 sets of doors, as I think many do. One set to the outside, then a small area, then doors to the actual church. DH and I were basically in the doorway and everyone else was in the vestibule from our doorway to the inner doorway lined up. Since were processed out, we were lined right up and greeted everyone as they came out of church behind us. Then we came out and did photos on the steps

Gotcha... Yes, my church has a vestibule as well but it's not that big to hav ea receiving line or whatever... I will ask my priest to see what he thinks.
We have bubbles we got for free so im not sold on having a receiving line.

Yes, this is what you do. We didn't do a line, but last year my friend did and it ******- she had a huge wedding and it took us forever to get out of the church

Re: Receiving line at church
Definitely won't have a church full unless I'm surprised and my entire workplace comes........ (They are not invited to the reception)......
