So for the past week I have been stalking this site and I finally decided it is about time to join. Can anyone please help me wedding venue pricing? I went last weekend to Larkfield Manor and Chateau La Mer but I feel as if I have to look at other options. I was originally shooting for a Friday or Sunday night in October of 2013 but I am on a strict budget and decided to open my options to other months - March, November. If any one can give me some venue pricing that would be great. This weekend I want to go check out Douglaston Manor, Thatched Cottage, Brentwood CC, Fox Hollow and Watermill!

Congrats on your engagement. I am getting married in March 2013 but I got all my quotes back in Feb so not sure if they still be the same. Enjoy this time!

Re: Recently Engaged!
I booked with Fox Hollow for a Saturday in March but my uncle works there so they dropped the price because of that so I'm not sure what they would quote you. I do know that when I went in they said Nov. and Dec. is still pretty expensive because they do get a lot of holiday parties there. Jan and Feb are the cheapest and March follows that. March 2013 is booking fast though. They only had a couple of dates available.

Re: Recently Engaged!
Also, fox hollow's layout and separate indoor ceremony area (depending on which rooms the size of your party allows) makes it easier for them to charge more for a 'winter' wedding... it's still amazing even if it rains, etc.

Re: Recently Engaged!
I have March 2013 quotes, but not for the places you are looking for. Sorry! However, we originally were looking at November, but ultimately decided on March. The price for a friday in November was about $10 more pp than a Saturday night in March. We loved the March prices! Just what we experienced anyways.

Yes, Oct is def a peak month but if your looking into Fri/Sun dates you will def save some $$. My date was originally Sat 10/5 but moving it 1 day to Sun 10/6 we saved a lot of $$. Prices drop I believe from Nov-March.. maybe even April.

Re: Recently Engaged!
Congratulations!! I got pricing for Thatched for a May wedding and I thought it was pretty reasonable. October is 'in' season, but a lot of places may be able to work out deals depending on your day of the week. Good Luck :) Have fun venue shopping!
