recently engaged!! need some 'guidance'

heyy ladies! So I recently got engaged!! :) and have been on liw scoping out the site!! You are all so helpful and I would love love love some guidance! So my FH and I are getting married next october 2nd and we are just starting to plan and book vendors! So far we have booked our ceremony site, our rh, photo/video, and dj. What's next? Hoping you wonderful girls will be able to help a newbie out!! Thanksss! Happy planning to all!

Which vendors did you book?!

I would start researching florists and trying on dresses!

I haven't started looking at dresses for myself yet, I'm nervous! My MOH and I went looking for bm dresses, gotta go back with my other bms though!
As far as florists go, should I have my bm dresses/colors first?? Idk I'm clueless in that aspect! Btw I'm thinking of doing eggplant dresses, but idk what other color I want to incorporate... Any suggestions?

My girls are in eggplant, CH colors are going to be different shades of purple and the Reception is going to be all white... accent color is brown.

I would have a solid idea of your colors/theme/style before going to the florist so that you have the most accurate idea of pricing when you receive the proposal

I can't make up my mind with colors! I guess that's my biggest 'stump' right now. I was thinking of eggplant bm dresses, with diff. Color purples, but idk how I feel about that. I am at a loss. I have been googling all diff things and have so many save images but can't seem to put my finger on exactly what I want. Ahhh I gotta get over this color issus and fast!

Don't stress about the colors yet... You'll change your mind a 100 times... Just start trying on different dresses for now so you get an idea of what type/style of dress you envision yourself in

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I am a Fox Hollow bride as well (Garden pavillion)! and my colors are eggplant/aubergine (dark purple) and i am doing black magic roses with eggplant callalilys...i love the red against the purple!!

I would say you want to decide your colors for sure, you definitely want to complement your BM dresses with your flowers...then you can book your florist, book transportation, officiant, and maybe send out save the dates....

Then comes the fun stuff like dress shopping, makeup/hair trials etc...but you basically have the major things down!

Congrats again and let me know if you have any questions as a fellow Fox Hollow bride to be!! And yes it is the Perfect Place!!

Thanks for all the help! I love your colors! Originally I was thinking of having a deep maroon color, but changed my mind! Haha I love the red and deep purple together too!

Yay another FHollow bride! I have to call and ask questions, I have a list! We are getting married there, have an officiant (fh gpa) and we have the garden terrace room! who are your vendors?? We booked 2 recommended already.

well i went with my sisters photographers since i absolutely loved her shots! Photo and Videography is Lamar, our DJ is AllStarDJ (I found them on my own and they have amazing package deals--we are getting the works, uplighting, gobo, plasma etc at a steal of a price and DJ Paul came recommended) and we are narrowing down our florist, i wanted to meet woth FHollows in house florist before making my final decision..My friend is our officiant and we wont need limos since we are having an evening Saturday wedding and will be going up on Friday and staying there the weekend...so far thats it..still need the dress and the other fun stuff i mentioned earlier, i am also looking into strings for our ceremony (which is outside) and our cocktail hour...

If you havent already met with the Perfect Wedding Planner, you should, they were super helpful and gave us a packet with a bunch of recommended vendors and it included tons of coupons and discounts..i think we are hiring PWP for the day as well, since I would like not to worry on the day of and dont have a wedding planner...
