FH's niece got married in Vegas with close family present. They are having a small reception at a VFW in August. How much do I give as a gift? I was thinking $100-150 between FH and I. Money is tight right now. Is that ok? I feel like I would give more if it was a bigger reception? Is that wrong?

I think whatever you can give is fine. We had a huge reception with over 300 people and some gave less than $50 and others gave a few hundred. We were fine with anything.

whatever you want to give based on what you can afford is fine. times are hard when planning a wedding. however you should not base it on how big or where the reception will be taking place.
