We're considering a reception at a South Fork LI winery, especially since we're thinking a February wedding, but are a bit clueless as to how this might work. Any thoughts, ideas?

Re: Reception at a Winery
The only wineries I can think of on the South Fork are Duckwalk (in Southampton)and Woffler Estate (in Bridgehampton/Sagaponack). There are like 30 on the north fork. check outWineries it gives you information on the different wineries, locations and if they have wedding capabilities.
Let me know if you need anything else. I live out here
there are tons of wineries (north fork) that you can get married at.
www.liwines.com
has a list and they mention if you can have weddings there...
I know Martha Clara has a big lawn...
I think its a fantastic idea...

Re: Reception at a Winery
I wanted to do this also, but they were too far from my church in E. Npt. Vineyard Caterers is the most reasonably priced b/c its set up for weddings. At the other wineries you pay a rental fee for the site and then you have to get a caterer and tables, tents, chairs, etc. Wolfer Estate in Sagaponak quoted me 30k rental fee and then approx $300/person for a Sept '03 wedding. (I called them last April).
