reception at restaurant

reception at restaurant

Wondering anyone has any suggestions for restaurants that will close to the public for our reception (100 people- max). I am afraid that our guests will look 'lost' in most 'halls' , so we have decided to check out some restaurants. We are very 'low key' people who dont enjoy being in the spotlight, but, we still want to have a celebration.

You might want to try Riverview Restaurant in Oakdale (I think). One of my sisters had her reception there. However if you are looking for a catering hall where you won't look lost with 100 people take a look at The Beach Club Estate in Lake Ronkonkoma. We were married there in 2001 and it is perfect for weddings of 75-100 people. It overlooks the lake and we were married outside in the gazebo. The grounds are lovely and they do a truly outstanding job with food and service. They advertise in the vendor section of LIW.

You can try the Three Village Inn in Stony Brook. They are an awesome restaurant with a few catering rooms and are perfect for your size guest list. We are getting married there in June and will have between 85 to 90 people. Good Luck with your search : ).

Are you looking for a place in Suffolk, nassau, NYC? The Riviera in Massapequa is a small place for the amount of people you are looking to invite. I now it's not a resturant, but they have one wedding at a time and it's on the water.

I second the Riviera, because I am having my reception there I am only having 130 people, because it is a small reception site and any more people would be tight. They are very affordable, check them out: Riviera

I also second the Riverview in Oakdale. My Brother is having his reception there this May for ~50 people. It is an up-scale restaurant and affordable as well. #631-589-2694

Both these facilities are on the water

The Riveria in Massapequa and the Milleridge INN (not the Cottage which is behind the Inn). The Milleridge has back rooms - - the Garden Room holds 80 and there is one other room that holds about 125. I had my engagement party in the Garden Room and it was beautiful. Also, food was great (a lot better than the restaurant portion).

Danfords is very nice. Jericho Terrace has a smaller room called the Oak Room which I thought was very beautiful. I thought it was good for about 80-110 people. GOOD LUCK

Our friends had their reception of about 70 people at La Pace in Glen Cove.It is an excellent restaurant & it has a dance floor and an extra room for the cocktail hour.
