reception card wording

reception card wording

So today i got my invite proof and im not too crazy about the wording on the reception card. it makes the card look empty. basically, the first line in larger script, says RECEPTION, the next line underneath, in smaller type, says at seven o'clock in the evening, the 3rd line reads FOX HOLLOW, and the last line is the town, ny

i think the part i really dont like is reception. it doesnt sound like a party to me. i mean it is a more formal wedding but i still want it to sound like its going to be tons of fun. any suggestions on what i can replace RECEPTION with?

thanks for the help!!

Question - did you put a time *and* immediately following the ceremony?

Re: reception card wording

If you like to go more formal, I like the sound of:

Dinner and dancing to follow

About the time, I would either choose 'reception to follow' and give the time or use 'immediately' if there is no time between the ceremony and reception.

Because we have about a half an hour difference between the ceremony and reception (and we don't want people showing up early!), I think we are writing.....

Reception to follow
five o’clock in the evening

(Motif)

Location
Address

I hope this helps!
