My reception cards don't mention anything about the cocktail hour. They read ' please join us for a reception.........'. Is that normally done. I am worried guest won't realize there is a full cocktail hour. Do I need to re-order or iis iit ok? What did all of yours say?

Mine just says reception to follow. I don't think that you need to tell people about the cocktail hour. I think most people will just assume.

If you're having your ceremony at the hall I don't think that will be a problem. If it's separate there might be a little confusion but most people get to the hall earlier anyway.

We did our reception cards like this 'Please join Charlie & Andrea for cocktails and reception at 7 o'clock....'
I always assume a cocktail hour is included when I read a reception card. Just make sure your start time is the start time of the cocktail hour not the actual dinner
