Reception & Ceremony Sites

Original post by Soon2BeMrsS

Hi Ladies,

I hope you can help me, you always do. We are having a tough time finding the perfect place...

Can any one suggest a place where we can find:

- A bridal suite

- A seperate room for cocktails, ceremony ( inside/ outside capabilities), reception

- A nice open, reception facilty, preferably w/ catherial celings, or floor to celing windows.

-One wedding at a time

- park/ beach like setting

we will be anywhere froim 100-150 we're flexable if we find the right place we'll customize our list.

Thanks so much for any help you can offer !

where do you want to have the wedding? will you go far out into suffolk? or do you want to stay in nasau?

if you can go to suffolk, the bourne mansion was in a park like setting, and the ballroom is huge with high high ceilings. flowerfield also had a park setting, the bridal suite and groom's lounge are gorgeous!

Your list of requirements has everything I wanted too, and I picked Giorgio's. You can check out their website, but the pix don't do the place justice. You have to see it to believe it. I wanted to get married at the hall, and they had the perfect outdoor ceremony area, and area outside and inside for cocktail hour, a GORGEOUS reception room with chandeliers galore, and the grounds and surrounding golf course are just breathtaking. There's a beach area (on the Sound) which they take the bridal party to in golf carts to do pix. They have a bridal suite and a gentlemen's suite. I haven't had my wedding there yet but every review I've read has been outstanding. You should take the ride out to at least see it. (I don't know how to size the pix but you get the idea.)

Good Luck.

(I love my hall!!!!!!)

I HIGHLY Recommend Giorgios.

You have a Bridal Suite, even a Mens Suite, Cocktail Room, Newly Renovated Ladies room with flat screen tv, outside cocktail patio area, beach, golf course and gardens for your pictures. You don't have to travel anywhere for your pictures or ceremony. You can have your ceremony there as well.

Gorgeous place, here is my REVIEW if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask

Your wedding was gorgus!!! Do you know if they have menu's online. FH doesn't want to travel unless we're interested. We're in western Nassau, so, I understand.

Here is the link to Giorgios Menu on their website

TRUST me, guests who have attended my wedding are still raving about how GREAT the food was and how much their was...
I even have a great example for you, one guest who was at my wedding and we attended their wedding this August said that our food was MUCH MUCH better than his food at his catering hall...

Giorgios is DEFINENTLY worth making the trip for..

Are you looking into just Long Island? I would recommend Giorgio's, but I'm biased

I also went to look at one place in Rockland County. It is right on the Hudson river, The View on the Hudson. They do one wedding at a time.
