Hi 07 brides. I am actually a brand new 08 bride and am learning the ropes around LIW. I figure you guys might have some wisdom to share with me. I am looking for a place to have my reception and was hoping you could give me any pros/cons or info from your experience about the following places:
Venetian Yacht Club Giorgios East Wind Coindre Hall Lombardi's on the sound

Hi! I only have experience with Lombardi's on the Sound - we actually wanted to book there but it was too much $$ for a Saturday night in the summer which is what we really wanted. You get a ton of food - the high price seems worth it if you can afford. I have the 2008 pricing at home - FM me if you want me to send it to you.

Venetian Yacht Club is absolutely beautiful and I've had no problems with them at all. I went to my food tasting in November and the food was amazing. I highly recommend it. FM me if you have any specific questions!

Another vote for VYC! You can FM me too! Not a bad thing to say about them! I love how it is a small place - one wedding at a time (usually - at least 90% of the time) yet very elegant!

We booked the Estate at East Wind last year for our Dec 07 wedding. FH and I fell in love with the place the moment our eyes saw it! They have 3 different buildings to have your wedding in, so you will definitely find something that fits your tastes and they also have the Inn so guests can stay there afterwards.

Lombardi's on the sound is beauuuuutiful. I've never been there for a wedding, but I was there for a formal medical school graduation party. The food was def not that good though. That was my only problem with it, and maybe it wasn't there best so you should try it and see.
