I feel like I might be having buyers remorse. Does anyone know of anyone that actually changed their reception hall and got their money back?

Re: Reception Hall
I don't know, sometimes I feel like we booked too soon. I was looking at Beckwith Pointe on-line and I didn't even know about it when we were looking. I guess I am having anxiety about the decision.

Re: Reception Hall
I had anxiety about my choice too in the beginning just because it was the only place we looked at! But then i went back there a few more times and now you cant drag me outta the place
there will always be that place that is 'better' or more appealing than your own... 'grass is greener on the other side' kinda feeling... i'm sure it'll pass... you went with your gut when you booked and im sure you made the right decision!

Re: Reception Hall
I would definielty take a look at BP. I booked there and its great. Speak to Linda she is really sweet and the food there is great. If you like it better and its something you prefer I would go back to CLM and see what they could do for you.
Soem of us have regrets but in the end you have to be happy. if it does mean losing some money. I would also look at your contract closely and see what the clauses are. Good Luck!

Re: Reception Hall
i always have buyers remorse about everything, so i understand. i panicked a little bit at first after we signed...do i really want it there? maybe a christmas wedding would be better than june? blah blah, but honestly you'll get over it and remember why you chose the things you did!
ps, from what i've seen your RH is gorgeous. i think you would take a bit of a $$ hit if you switch now.

Re: Reception Hall
I believe I had read on here that suffolk county has a law which allows you to get your deposit back (although I don't know the specifics of it). Nassau county has no such law, so in that sense it's a case by case basis if your RH would allow it.

Re: Reception Hall
Thanks ladies. FH is about to kill me right now, but he said if it makes me feel better we can go to New Rochelle and look at the places on the water. He loves our RH and more worried about losing our deposit payments, but we will cross that when we come to it. Who knows, I can feel differently tomorrow.

Re: Reception Hall
you have a beautiful venue! how long ago did you book and how much money did you leave? Suffolk says if more than 6 months out you get you deposit less $100 (i think)

Re: Reception Hall
We booked in September and we paid $3,000 in deposits already. Our next deposit is due in March.

Re: Reception Hall
oh no nelle!!! sorry to hear that you're having second thoughts...just go with your gut ....after having sat on it for a while though... i'm afraid of things like this too..like if i buy a dress too early and then i won't like it or i'll find something better...but i think the solution is to just stop looking.

I think it might just be a second thought, wait a few days and see how you feel.

Re: Reception Hall
Thank you. I think possibly seeing CLM again or other places might put my mind at ease. FH thinks I am nuts. Hopefully this will all pass.
