We are having so much fun touring the reception halls....anybody hear anything about verdi's???

I have heard mixed reviews about Verdis. I have been there before if you have any questions about the place. Everything was great except our server had the biggest attitude. No other tables had a problem though... maybe she was PMSing? IMO the food wasn't the best, but it was good. I hear they have good prices also.

My sister had her reception there... A few things went wrong, the cake wasn't what they ordered, the cocktail hour was in a different room then they were told and the food at it was scarce at it, also they told them there would be 2 bars and there was only one. The main dinner was good though. Sorry!

julz....... how is Huntington townhouse?? we are going there tomorrow...a few people told me that is was falling apart and needed a paint job but that was from a wedding a few years back and since then I think new owners.. whats your opinion??? We are also doing Chateau la mer tomorrow also any thoughts on that.....pricing too if you have it April 2, 2005 on Saturday night is what we are looking for...(finally agreed on the date)lol

What time are you going to the HTH tomorrow? I am going there tomorrow to pick out the menu!!! In my opinion Chateau La Mer looks nicer... but for the size party we are having the HTH was better for room and price. We got an excellent price! Some advice is don't take the first, or second price they offer you. They went down for us $30 per person from the first price they offered. We are using the Penthouse and the Crystal Ballroom which I think are the nicest rooms there. There is a seperate entrance, seperate bathrooms and elevator so you wont see other parties going on. The ballroom was just redone also. How many people are you having? You need to gaurentee a pretyt high number to get that room, although I am not 100% sure what it is. We had to gaurentee 200 but will most likely have 240-250 there.

seems too good to be true its half price of every where else i was only gonna invite 120 but i could make it 200 easy when did you book??

I booked in Sept 03 for Sept 04. I am a friday night though... it might be a little more for a Sat night.
The Meadow Club was only $10 per person more... that is also a nice place especially for 120. it would e too tight there for us I think their max is 200?

verdi's just changed owners recently also and renovated alot of the hall, theya re also going to be expanding as well i think, we just booked our engagement there in the stardust room, i know in the people say that in the recent past a lot of things were going downhill with it but i think since changes were made and renovations been done that they are great, my friend had a wedding there after the fact and all was well, good luck!
