OK everyone has helped me in my wedding plans...now you must help me with my sisters...she was just engaged... specifics... 30 min from huntington able to seat 200 people possibly that you are the only wedding at that time... she is thinking of crest hollow and woodbury CC, but they both are multiwedding places... do you guys have any other suggestions?

Try the stonebridge county club in Hauppauge. (only about 15-20 minutes from huntingotn). It is beautiful, and seats 200. You are also the only bride there. I think it is worth checking out. Also Thatched Cottage in Huntington is really nice(but you are not the only bride).Other suggestions: depending on budget Flowerfield is beautiful (only bride, and about 30 minutes away from huntington). Hope these ideas help.

I just book the Hamlet Wind Watch Golf Club in Happauge. It is beautiful! Only one wedding at a time. It seats 250 and I think that it is less than a half hour from Huntington. It is about ten minutes west of where I grew up and Huntington is a forty minute drive from my parents` house, so I assume that Happauge is not too far from huntington. But I can`t find my way out of a paper bag, so you might want to double check on that! The Hamlet is beautiful during the spring and summer because it pretty much sits right on the golf course. So excited to take pictures there! Becky

clarification re: thatched cottage

You ARE the only only bride, I don't know why that person posted that. I was going to suggest it, but my wedding is only 100 people...I know 100 can fit comfortably, but I think when you start to reach 200, it gets a little cramped.

clarification re: thatched cottage

thanks..thatched cottage is out...we went to look at it for my wedding and it would be too small...although an ideal location b/c we grew up 1 mile from it... happauge is not bad...keep the suggestions coming

if she gets married on a sunday fox hollow usually only has one but if they have two one is upstairs and one is down so they will not interfere

Hi Erica, I am also getting married at the Hamlet in Islandia. You would have to ask about 200 people, although I have seen it set up for some parties that look very large and it was okay. How about the Vanderbilt Mansion in Oakdale. It is gorgous!!! A bit pricey though. The Watermill, but you are not the only bride.
