reception hall help

FH and I finally decided last night to start looking online. Well after over 2 hours they all seemed to mush together! So we need some direction! We need a hall for a saturday night in may for 2013. A max of 225 and a min under 200. Both families are big dancer so a huge dance floor is a must! Thanks girls! I forgot to add we want to stay under 130 a person.

Look into the Riviera in Massapequa. It would be perfect for a Spring and Summer wedding.

The venue is so different, with beautiful views of the water. It seemed to have a pretty large dance floor also.

Good luck!

You should look at some of the Lessing's properties. They have some great sites.

I think Riviera is going to be too small for you.

I'd look at The Inn at New Hyde Park, Floral Terrace, Sand Castle, Russo's on the Bay, North Ritz Club

Agreed. My sister was told by the bm that 200 would fit inthe riviera bu the day we went and saw it it was set up for 180 and it was tight.

Woodbury Country Club has two rooms with great dance floors and outside space.

Agree, Rivieria is way too small for you and won't even talk to you. We found out the hard way :(

Jericho Terrace!!!! We had 220 people, paid A LOT less then 130 a head and the dance floor was HUGE! We were never overcrowded on the dance floor and they were awesome to work with!

Thanks girls! FH and I did more looking last night and decided on a few must see. Russo's, Jericho Terrace, Flowerfield, Sand Castle, Woodbury Country Club,
Chateau La Mer, and Carlyle on the Green is what were thinking as of now. Lessing FH use to work for so he does not want to use their halls. Watermill I pass everyday driving to FH house. So that was out for us to just because we see it all the time.
