Reception Hall Hunting!

Hi everyone! My FH and I have appointments with 4 different reception halls tomorrow. These are the first places we are looking at and I am so excited!!! Just was wondering if anyone had any good info about them. We are checking out Sans Souci, The Swan Club, Roslyn Claremont Hotel and The George Washington Manor.

It would be great going in with some info about the places so I have better questions to ask the managers there. Any info would be great. THANKS!

i went to see sans souci and GW Manor.
Gw was really nice but too small.
Sans souci I disliked ALOT!!! I thought the grounds were not kept up i thought the woman we delt with was a snob and i think that the seating arrangement is horrible. ha;f the guest would not be able to see the bride and groom.
My FSIL and FBIL got mrried at swan club and i heard great things about their wedding.

Re: Reception Hall Hunting!

I've never been to San Souci but my cousin is getting married there in the Fall. According to her (and she is very picky)...she loves the place and is very happy with the service thus far.

I've been to a wedding at the Swan Club and thought the place was pretty. The food and service was good too. My only concern would be that they have several functions going on in one night.

Roslyn Claremont Hotel is absolutely beautiful. I really like it. Just be aware that the room is in the basement and there are no windows.

My favorite is the George Washington Manor. We had my shower there and I loved it. The food and service was wonderful.

All four are good choices and I'm sure you will pick out the right one for you. Good luck!

I've been to San Souci weddings and other parties -it's beautiful there. Roslyn Claremont is so also very nice.

I went to San Souci for a wedding and they put on a lovely affair. The food is absolutely delicious. The lay out of the room is a little different and it's true you can't see the bride and groom from all the tables.

I went to a party at GW Manor and it was very nice - good food and service.

We looked at the Swan Club for our wedding and they have beautiful grounds but I don't have any personal experience attending an affair there.
