My soon to be wife and I are looking at 2 Halls. They are:
The Water's Edge in Long Island City & Gargiulo's in Brooklyn.
We both love the Water's Edge. It is a beautiful place, but here is my concern. The Water's Edge is a fancy place. I am really concerned that even though the menu offers such things as 12 passed appetizers and 5 different stations for your coctail hour, I am really afarid that this will not be alot of food. I like a large spread. Has anyone ever been there for a wedding? Can you tell me how it was? How does it compare (if you know) to the amount of food in other places during the coctail hour?
Also, if anyone has any experiences at a wedding at Gargiulo's please let me know your feelings.

I dont know either place but from what I remember the halls that my fiance and I visited all showed us picture albums of the stations and everything set up t give us ideas of what it looks like- some were outdated and the banquet manager explained what the newer way was....ask if they have pics!
