My FH and I looked at Majestic Gardens in January and we were originally looking for September and they quoted us around $130-$140. I am getting married at North Ritz Club in May and we are paying $138 pp with a full vianese w/out the extra hour. It was another $1000 for the extra hour. Hope this helps!

I'm clue less, what does the vienese hour include? How much would these places average with out that hour. About how many people do plan on having? I really want a place where I can have an outdoor cocktail hour. THose are one of the things that I don't want to budge on. Any of the places on the list have a nice outdoor area?

Vienese Hour usually includes a crap load of cakes, pasteries, ice cream, candy, ices, cotton candy etc in addition to your cake. They usually leave it out for the hour after cake is served...or if the VH includes an extra hour to your party...they bring it out for that.

Re: Reception Hall quotes for '09
Just becareful when posting price quotes that you include whether or not they include tax and gratuity.
For example, my quote for hamlet willow creek in May on a sunday night was 95.00 pp. Cheap right? Add on taX nd gratuity and it jumps to 124.00 pp!!!!
Dont get my wrong, I lLOOOOOOOOOOVE my RH, but it the price diff is very misleading....
also, make sure u include with the minimums are!
FYI! Its good to mention with out without tax and grat!

I just got back from the Fox Hollow. I was quoted for a Friday night in July (min 130 people) $89 without service charge and tax. He said it is $116 per person when you include the 20% and tax.

Did anyone go to the East Wind? I got their paperwork when I was there for a bridal expo. Are they flexible with price and the minimum? For example, I'm looking at the Estate and they say they want a minimum of 175 people on a friday night in peak season for 104.95. What do you think they would do if I only wanted 150 or 160 people?

Re: Reception Hall quotes for '09
THis May have posted twice, if so I'm sorry!
Hey Guys! This is such a great thread!
I am planning my LI wedding from Maryland so I can't go to these places until the next time I come up to New York, which won't be for a few weeks. I am interested in Venitian Yacht Club, Chateau La Mer, Lakefeild Manor, Majestic Gardens and Crest Hollow Country Club, for an August 2009 saturday night wedding. How much you think the price increase would be for August? Also I was thinking about sending my Mom, and My MOH to a few of the places I like to get price quotes for me. WOuld they even talk to them? Also what is payment like? If I want to book a place, how much is typically needed to sign the contract? WHen does the bill have to be paid by? Does everything for a wedding (church, reception, limo, photo etc.) have to be paid up front when booking? Or do they usually break up the payments? My concern is finding a place I love and not having the money to secure it right away and my date gets booked up. So far I am in LOVE with CLM. My mom has been there for a few events and loved it, and the website details seems real promising.... ok I'm taking a deep breath!

Re: Reception Hall quotes for '09
We are planning a wedding at the Watermill and the price they quoted us was for a Saturday afternoon in November. It is going to be $100.00 after taxes and everything, and that is for min.125 people. That is the best rate that we got, We originally wanted October but they want about $25.00 more per person.
