Did anyone go to a million places before they decided on there reception hall? I feel like i went to every place on long island and found something i didn't like about alot of them. I was even going to look at more places after i fell in love with my hall just to be sure. I prob would have gone to 10 more if my fiance didn't say ok I have had enough. I hope im not the only one out there...

lol nope I went to one. I did my research price wise and # of people guarantee and I had a few on the list and the only place that stood out was WCC. I went there and loved it!

just went to 4 and after visiting the 4th one, FH and I revisited two to make our final decision...i think he had enough at that point

We went to quite a few..some we didn't even go in to..drove by and didn't like something about it
When we saw our RH we still went to see more when I started comparing the others to it I knew it was the one

We didn't go to a lot of places but I kinda knew exactly what I wanted and just happened to find it almost right away. Whether you go to a lot or a few, it doesn't matter as long as you find the right one...kinda like dating lol!!!

You're not crazy....we probably went to 30 different RHs. We didn't sit through the whole shpeal if we thought it wasn't worth it, but it took a lot (and felt like we hit every RH in LI, Queens, and Westchester).

I was suppose to go look at Giorgios the day after we saw Villa Lombardis but FH was starting to loose patience with me bc we both loved Villa Lombardis. We went to Lombardis on the sound and he wanted to have it there and I almost agreed but I felt very unsure so to compromise I said lets go look at Villa Lombardis! We wound up loving it!

we went to 5 and that seemed like a lot!!!! I wanted to see more because there's just so much out there but we only have 1 day a week to go since we have conflicting work schedules and we were getting tired of going from place to place! I still kind of wish we saw more, not because I wish I booked somewhere else, but I like to see the variety and what else there is to compare to I guess!

We went to 10 different reception halls. Then we narrowed it down to our hall and the Watermill. After trying the food, we went with our hall. But then tasted Giorgio's food. We went back and forth between WCC and Giorgio's two or three times, then finally decided on WCC. So you don't have to feel crazy anymore.

WE eliminated 5 before our search because we had been there for other things and didn't like them for our own wedding
I also eliminated about 5 places because of prices/guarantees since the first thing I did was choose my date and stuck to it
And then we visited 10
and wound up booking the first one we saw

I looked at almost 20 places, about 5 were with FH and a few w. my mom...Ultimately knew where I wanted to book once I met w. the BM and saw the menu though...Everyone is different...I think its better to just see TOO many places than not see enough and later regret your choice because of hasty decisions!

I went to 10 to 12 of them. I had a book (wasn't on LIW then) and I picked out my top 3 or 4 and we went to them all... they all failed.... then I went back to the book and picked out more... I kept going back to the book until I finally found the one!! It was VERY discouraging!!!

i feel like i'm nuts! we went to ONE place....ONE!!!! And booked it! we had plans to go to several other places that day, and knew we were limited on price.
after meeting with steve from west sayville cc, we were on our way to the next place and said....why bother? we both felt it was just what we wanted at the right price.
btw, my dress was actually the first one i tried on too! lol of course i tried on like 10 more but it wound up being the first one....my mom knew the second i put it on, too :)
