As I have said before, I love the Carlyle... probally going to visit this week... I am planning either the summer of 2005 or early October.
Any suggestions for halls $150pp the most? I love the whole mahogony look.... rich and elegant. My sister is getting married soon at Flowerfield and I really don't want to give my parents too much of a headache paying for two daughters weddings in a year and a half!
Other considerations:
Harrison House (??don't know much about it but my mom keeps saying it's amazing??)
Port Jeff Country Club
Any other suggestions?

I love the Watermill! It was out of our price range but it is in yours! Here is a pic of the room I liked (The Vanderbilt)

Re: Reception Halls
I know.. I love it too but my sister's bridal shower was there and I don't know, I just think it would be weird to book there after all of my family was there for a shower.
It is truly beautiful though..... thanks

Re: Reception Halls
I am getting married at the Bourne Mansion. Don't know if it is up your ally. Check it out, though.
Of course I love Carlyle too... We got quoted $125 for a Friday night.
Check out Westbury Manor, they also have that mansion/ dark wood look and very pretty gardens.

Re: Reception Halls
Well, they can hold 275 people for a sit down dinner, 400 for a coctail reception. BUT we are only having 150, and the room will be fine for that. But you can't have July 3, 2005, it's MINE! Sorry!

Re: Reception Halls
I know, we booked it because we could have the feel of a Saturday night without paying the extra 25 a head! And I hope I didn't offend you, I was only kidding! I saw you said sometime next summer or October

My mom actually suggested that date for us...but don't worry.... I know the Bourne isn't available that day! Hahahaha..
It does look beautiful though.... might go for a visit one day!

Re: Reception Halls
I am biased on Watermill but the dowstairs room has looks of wood and is so nice...Your sisters shower would have been upstairs so it will feel like a different place ya know? Just a thought...how bout Jericho terrace too? AND PJ cc is nice!

I second the North Ritz Club. It's new and it's only one wedding at a time.

Re: Reception Halls
Vanderbilt definately has the rich mansion feel, but it fits 150 people max. I don't know how many people you're having at your wedding.

Re: Reception Halls
Lands End, especially if you decide to have in the summer. FH and I would've booked at Lands End but its out of our budget.
