I've only been to the Bellport country club....but it was for a communion.... so i'm not sure how their weddings are. But...gotta tell ya...the grounds were very nice (if you're looking for the golf course and lake kind of scene) and the food was EXCELLENT!! I was quite impressed b/c I had never really heard anything about the place but it was nice. Also....very very clean...which is always good.

GOOD LUCK!

I went to a wedding at WCC in May and it was awesome...great food, great space, beautiful outdoor ceremony...

BCC is GORGEOUS now that they put almost $1,000,000 in renovations. The food is good and a beautiful site for pics.

i checked out metropolitan but didn't like it because of the outdoor space (it's small and on a busy corner). for a winter wedding it would be nice, IMO. i thought the $$ was moderate.

Re: reception halls

i'm getting married at the metropolitan. i absolutely loved it. it's different and not your typical catering hall. the food is really good and the prices were great!

we've been to so many other places and they are all the same. but to each their own, we were looking for something different.

what really sold us was that they give you a permit to take pics at morgan park right down the street (it's where ashanti shot one of her videos - LOL). it's gorgeous, there's a beach, greek columns, gazebos etc. its all just really cool.

but of course ppl are gonna talk their place up like i just did. what you really need to do is look at places and think about what you really want.

thank you all - we really lke Louis XVI in Patchogue but are concerned about the dance floor being too small. I know the food is great...

I attended a wedding at the Bellport Country Club last year. It was a really nice place and the food was good too. The coctail hour was out on the patio overlooking the very green golf course. The main ballroom is lovely. I think its the same family that owns the Irish Coffee Pub in Islip - and that place has a great reputation.

I was lookin at Louis XVI for my weddin but the dance floor is to small and i just feel that people will be squished. I also didnt like the fact that people are able to dine in the room next door..i want it to be just MY weddin not a bunch of other people in the buildin. I also looked at woodbury country club i wasnt thrilled with how they split up the weddings and again i want one wedding at a time.

How many people? - we may have 140 and they assure me that the dance floor is adequate but I just don't know..

I'm bias with WCC but i'd check about minimum, we booked the downstairs room by the pool and our minimum is 165.
