Thanks everyone for your input - You're all so helpful!

Thanks especially for your input on North Ritz - I haven't heard much about it lately so it's nice to hear about your experiences and get your opinions

if you go to search, its right above where you pick which forum you want to go to...in the search box put 'north ritz club' and then pick the 'brides Review' forum, that might help you out...ACTUALLY WAIT here you go, youre new so i know these things are confusing at first...here is a list of brides reviews at the north ritz

north ritz for feb was about $110pp

Ooo thats not bad at all

Yeah thats not bad but that for Feb I think she wants a June wedding.

i think for a saturday in june or september it was $135pp

with tax and gratuity or without...hmmmm why did i hear it was more, oh people probably added extras thats why

yes, there were A LOT of extras and things that i would want so if you add it all up, it was more
like surf and turf as an entree choice, extra stations at CH, etc.

My fiance and I are going to start looking at catering halls this weekend. Any suggestions/advice?

These are the halls we are planning to visit:
Carlyle on the Green
Sandcastles
Pine Hollow Country Club
Woodbury Country Club
Leonards
North Ritz Club

What have been your experiences in dealing with any of these caterers?

Thanks!!

ok heres my input on the halls i've been to -

one of my best friends (and BM) just got married at sandcastle a month ago & it was GREAT!! everyone is super nice & the food was amazing!!

me & FH went to see woodbury country club... its nice - their outside is AMAZING!!! but i didnt walk in there and FALL IN LOVE with it & i wanted to fall in love with the hall we booked so we didnt go with it - but their prices werent bad!!

thats all i know about the halls you listed... good luck!!

What kind of atmosphere are you looking for? Water View? Glamorous? Elegant? Fun? Glitzy? Intimate? Mansion? Country Club? Vineyard? Etc. Then we can suggest places that will be what you are interested in!

Zev, def check out the ones your listed and others so you can get an idea of what you want. Beach setting? Mansion? Indoors Outdoors? etc etc. Try to negociate as much as you can for extra goodies. Keep us posted on how it goes. Are you keeping the 6/29/08 date, I love that date, I wanted that date but its my nephews bday so we decided not to, lol
