Reception Halls

Reception Halls

Hi, I'm new to this whole thing. I've been engaged a little over a month now and have just started looking at places. I feel like I'm never going to find a place that me and fh will agree upon. I am in love with the Coral House, but fh wants me to look at other places to compare it with. So far I have gone to the KofC in Seaford-not very happy there, The Coral House-Love, and today I went to the Riviera-it was ok.

Tomorrow I am going to CLM and Wednesday I am going to Verdi's of Westbury, I feel like finding a place is taking over my life

Welcome, good luck, and have fun!! it is a blast having people try and cater to you (westbury manor gave me chocolate fondue. It was evil, delicious, but evil)

So I skipped over going to CLM because they emailed me a price quote that was over everyone else, so I went to Verdi's today after work. I liked it there, I like all the marble floors and the openness of the rooms. And all of the food choices were great. But it was very close to the pricing that I got for the Coral House, so now i have to push for it with fh.

I am surprised about CLM, when I went to look there, the prices were comparable and somewhat cheaper than other places. I am bumping my price quote thread that has prices for a TON of halls, maybe it could help you going forward

Re: Reception Halls

CLM was VERY affordable when I got my price quote...maybe they raised their prices already after we all got our quotes...

I had a bad experience with The Coral House when we went for an appointment. We were more or less told what we HAD to do for our wedding and that our wedding is not a priority because if they can make more money from someone else they will bump us and give it to the higher paying client. We were also told that if there is a horrible blizzard or snow storm (we are getting married in January) we can NOT make it up, we would still need to pay for the party regardless of wether the Coral House is open or not due to the weather. Both FH and I loved the grand ballroom for a RH but the downstairs cocktail hour 'room' didnt suit what we wanted in a hall. IMO the woman we spoke with was more concerned with charging us more money than what we were quoted and less concerned with our happiness.... Mind you this is just my opinion and experience with them, not everyone gets the same banquet manager and everyone gets treated different...hopefully your experiene went better than mine.
