Reception Halls

Hi ladies!

I'm new to these boards and have to say you are all great and very helpful! It's addicting just to read your questions/responses!!
I have just begun the search for a place to hold my reception next year and I visited 4 last weekend (Milleridge, Floral Terrace, Jericho Terrace, Coral House).
Do you have any suggestions for other places? I'm anticipating 150 guests.
Thanks for your help!!!!

Depends on what you want.

I am getting married at Leonard's of Great Neck and love it.

HI welcome aboard! So far you have seen some nice places!

Have you considered looking at any of the Scotto locations? Fox Hollow, Westbury Manor, Chataeu Briand or the Watermill?

What are you looking for? Modern? Grounds? One wedding at a time? Etc?

Also, try the North Ritz Club or Crest Hollow....

Good luck!

I would also suggest the North Ritz Club. It is one wedding per day and it is beautiful!!

Re: Reception Halls

I would love a place with one reception at a time, but they seem hard to find or too pricey. I thought more than one party at a time would freak me out, but it seemed fine at Jericho Terrace.
This is so confusing and exciting at the same time!

Re: Reception Halls

The Manor East does not do one party at a time but it does not do more than two parties at a time. Chippa and I are both getting married on the same day but our paths at the Manor East will never cross. The second party starts and 1 1/2 hours after the first. Each party has their own entrance, exit, kitchen and bathroom. You will never see anyone from the other party.

Manor East does 2 affairs at a time but each party has their own bathroom, kitchen, staff, etc...

Like NYLisa said her and I are the same day and we'll be there at the same time but our parties will never cross

Re: Reception Halls

Majestic is one wedding at a time. And their prices are good as well. But I found it very hard to get a date there. That one of the problems with the halls that have one wedding at a time. All the good dates get snatched right up. Good Luck!

Have you considered Stewart Manor Country Club? They do one wedding at a time, and do a great job. They're also very reasonable. My mom got married there about 8 years ago, and it was fantastic. A lot of brides on this board are having or have already had a wedding there as well.Stewart Manor Country Club

I'm making a list ladies!
Did anyone visit Caffe on the Green or Douglaston Manor? My FMIL (hope that's right) mentioned them.

Re: Reception Halls

While I love Coral House (my place) It may not work for you since your guest list is 150. The room I have is too small for that amount and the big room is too large.

What is the price per person you are willing to spend and some of your requirements?

Caffe on the green is beautiful!!! Great food and beautiful grounds.

Re: Reception Halls

There's also San Souci in Sea Cliff, The Riviera in Massapequa - both do one party at a time.
