My sister recently got engaged and is planning a wedding in 3 months.
Does anyone know if pricing is affected by short term wedding planning ? - and also we are looking for a hall under 150 minimum for $65.00 or less in October (this includes tax and tip - before tax and tip would be 50). I know that this is a hard to find price range, as I got married at the SandCastle last year, so any help would be appreciated.
If the price is a little higher, let me know if there is value in the package (ie. flowers included) - we already know about Coral House, and Leonards.
Friday Nights, Sat daytime are okay as I also know that Saturday night is unrealistic.
Thanks in advance for all your help !

Re: Reception Halls
Try Larkfield Manor, I know that they squeeze events in sometimes and when I was there they were more than willing to negotiate on price.

Re: Reception Halls
Fox Hollow! We paid $75pp because we booked at just under a year but were offered $59pp if we took a date that was 6 months away, this was on a Friday night.
Your best bet is to call around to see who has dates available.

Re: Reception Halls
I would post something on the Vendors helping Brides - October is a VERY popular month for the fall & most places may very well be booked solid - I would post on the vendor board to see who may still have avail in Oct. When we had gotten engaged we were calling places In Jan of 2009 for a wedding in Oct of 2009. Already then 10 months out most of the places we spoke with were booked solid. 1 place had daytime avail but wanted a FORTUNE, and 1 other place had avail but after viewing the place we didnt like the feel of it. We played around with dates from early Sept to early Nov & couldnt find any availability - fall is somtimes more popular than summer. Which is why we ended up getting married in the summer instead.
Does she have to do in in Oct or does she have any flexibility? She may get lucky if she can push off to late Nov...just a thought.
But like I said - post on the vendors board ASAP - and hopefully you will get something that's avail for your needs & your date.
Good Luck & let us know how things turn out!
