Does anyone know of some reception halls in the suffolk area that has tastings? I am thinking about changing my reception spot. but i need to know how the food tastes- any suggestions????
I think my sister got to taste a little at the Hamlet in Hauppauge when she went to look
I had a tasting at Lands End...but it was after I booked and to decide the menu...
although I know that Lovin Oven halls have such fabulous food that you wouldn't have to worry if you booked any of them

Re: Reception Halls
We're booking the Miller Place Inn next week and at our initial meeting they offered to set-up up a tasting for us. Try them and I heard that the Wyndham does tastings too.
halloween...my cousin got married there years ago...1986 I think...and although I was younger...I remember that the food was really good and we had a great time there!!

Re: Reception Halls
Try Sunset Harbour in Patchogue. Speak with Andy or Christina. The food is great and the location is great too.

At the East Wind you do your tasting at the bridal showcases, that way you can see how a wedding is set up and get to taste the food. I can tell you the food their is amazing.

Re: Reception Halls
Check out Liweddings.com vendor showcases. They usually list the reception halls that are having tasting. I am getting married at Villa Lomabrdi's and their tasting aren't until Jan. But I have been to Majestic Garden's and the meadow club.
Alot of catering halls wait until the winter months to do this being now is popular times for weddings.
