Does anyone have any idaes for RHs in Queens? I have been researching mainly LI halls, but I live in Queens and all my friends live in the city so I want to look in Queens too.
We are looking for a beautiful venue that is reasonable too, and that will be willing to work with us. We are trying for a winter wedding.
Thanks!
Quotes would be helpful too if you have any! TIA ladies!!

Re: Reception Halls in Queens
So,I really hate when people only recommend their own hall, however, I have to tell you that Russo's on the Bay is awesome, and so is their new venue Vetro which is just down the street on Cross Bay Blvd (Vetro can do a smaller party). WE just had dinner there last night and it was beyond phenomenal.
Service and food at Russo's are unmatched, especially in Queens, and the decor in both is beautiful, but it's definitely a specific taste. You get a ton for your money, so I recommend making an appt at Russo's and they can go over Vetro pricing for you as well. Mr. Russo is pretty reasonable and willing to work on guarantees and menu customization. Good luck!
ETA, I don't have quotes for Winter, but for Sept Sat night in 2011, we were quoted 125 pp for the basic menu, which is still crazy amounts of food and 140 pp for the upgraded menu. Venetian was 10pp and then we also added the elements of style package (linens, specialty cake, grooms cak, pin lighting, charger plates, special dessert, etc)

i second Russo's. Leonard's is like on the nassau/queens border in Great Neck so I would check them out also. There's also Elite Palace.

Thanks ladies!!! I am definitely going to check these out!!!
I am excited to see Russo's on the Bay, you make it sounds amazing! Hopefully for a winter wedding it will be a little cheaper, 125 isn't bad for a Sat in Sept!

yeah, we were actually waiting to hear much higher numbers, we didn't think we were going to be able to do Russo's so when they gave use the menu prices, we were shocked. With Venetian they give your guests to go boxesif they want, and when you go for your consultation they give you this huge binder with all the menu and supplement options in it to take home... they're presentation of everything is always First class, very impressive. I'm sure a winter date will be even more reasonable. Good luck, let me know what you think if you go

The Foundry!!! I wanted to do mine there but we are having a winterish wedding and wouldn't be able to really utilize all of their space.
There's also Water's Edge which has amazing views!

We went to a wedding there recently but if you are having a large # of guests be careful because I food was not that hot (heat wise)

Water's Edge is in LIC right on the water. Very nice views, and has a waterboat taxi from the city to Queens. It's about $125 pp.

Re: Reception Halls in Queens
I only know two venues in Queens and I'm getting married at one of them! Water's Edge is amazing and should be reasonable in the winter as well as Foundry---gorgeous space! Foundry was too small for my 200+ wedding though...

Re: Reception Halls in Queens
Check out The Douglaston Manor-they're having a Bridal Show on the 27th ($10pp) but you'll get an opportunity to tour the facilites; taste the food and talk with their Banquet Managers-I'm considering DM so I'm definetely going to cehck out their show.

Another Russo's bride here!
If food and service are super important to you, then Russo's is your place! Nothing compares.
