How did you like Cresthollow? I am getting married there and I absolutely fell in love. We actually ended up booking there. Did you get to walk the grounds? They are beautiful!

thanks girls. Yes we really liked Crest Hollow - my parents actually got married there...my mom practically started crying when we walked in lol. It was also the first place we looked at so i kind of want to look at other places also thats why i asked for some suggestions. this weekend were gunna look at fox hollow, leonards and i think westbury mannor. its so overwhelming!

Re: Reception Help
I love the INN at New Hyde park.. I loved it, but my wedding isn't going to be as big and for Friday night they have a min of 200. The upstairs cocktail room is amazing.
I have April prices for Friday night. Let me know if you want them.

I dunno what your budget is like, but i would totally check out the sand castle. I'm also having a LARGE wedding (looking like the guest list is approaching 400 so far). My FH and I are still in the process of looking at RHs, but we REALLY fell in love withthe SC

Re: Reception Help
we go to CHCC every year for FH's company Xmas party.
They rent the entire place! It's usually fabulous. last year his company cheaped out so it wasn't as good, but the food etc was still great. it was just the # of choices that went down. dumb company!
I cant say enough about WM. they're amazing.
I went to a huge sweet 16 at the sandcastle. 200 people so it was like a wedding. that was great too.
also, been to countless weddings and events at CB. The scottos used ti be my dad's clients so we seemed to be there a lot. food - great, beautiful place, great svc.
FH's cousin got married at JT and I was surprised it was so nice! I had never been there before.
hmm...yeah all good stuff...no complaints. is that helpful? no right?

Re: Reception Help
thanks everyone for all the help. I saw westbury mannor tonight and it is beautiful but i feel a little small if we want to have an indoor cocktail hour. I just want to walk into a place and fall in love with everything (i know thats probabily not going to happen lol) sunday we have leonards, fox hollow, north ritz club, and carlyle on the green lined up. wedding planning makes me tired just thinking about it!! lol

Re: Reception Help
If you need bigger than Westbury Manor, North Ritz Club should work for you. During the CH, you can use the outdoor and indoor space together and it is really large. Also look at Chateau Briand. They have the DaVinci room, which is huge!
