Reception Intros -- Advice Needed

Reception Intros -- Advice Needed

So here's my situation: both my father (mom passed away) and FH's parents are hosting the wedding. FH's parents have been making a big fuss about everything - caused a LOT of problems - and I know, especially FMIL, wants to be the center of attention (yeah right) and will probably want to be announced. Now my dad really doesn't want to walk in with him but feels funny walking in by himself. But, I know he'll probably suck it up if it's really, really important to me.

The solution I thought of was to only introduce me & FH. What do you girls think? Advice? Suggestions?

ooooh....at another LIW bride's wedding that I went to, her mom must have passed away, her father walked in with his mother....and the announcement was 'Mr. John Doe escorted by his mother, Phyllis Doe'

Ok - I am having my parents and FH's parents introduced ... and i've never seen the parents NOT introduced -

My uncle passed away a litttle over a yr ago, and my cousin is getting married in July. My aunt did not want to walk in by herself, so she asked my father (her brother) to give her the honor. My father is going to walk with her in the church, and also at the hall. if you like this idea, is there anyone that your father can walk in with (like a sister, cousin, etc.)

these are all my opinions - and honestly i think you should do YOU want to do, and whatever makes your dad the mose comfortable

Can your dad walk in with another female relative? Examples - his sister, another daughter, granddaughter, mother.

Both our fathers have passed and our moms are walking in with their respective grandsons.

I think your dad and FIL's should be introduced, especially since they are hosting the wedding.

I would have Dad walk in on his own, or maybe with a sibling (if you have any) or a close female relative.

I agree, especially since it seems FIL's WANT to be introduced. For Dad, have him walk in with someone he's close with and comfortable with.

Both of my Parents have past away and FH has his parents i was wondering what we should do also.....Thats a good question.

do i introduce just the FH parents and ignore the fact that my parents aren't there? Or do i skip the whole parents intro?

Do you have any siblings??

I went to my FH brother's wedding, (father passed away), my FH walked in with his mother at the Reception. I think they did something similar at his sister's wedding too.
