reception location

Does anybody know if you can have a wedding reception at the Cloisters or at Ft. Tryon Park? It would mean a lot to us to be able to have the reception there.

I had asked the cloisters if they held ceremonies in their facilities 3-4 years ago and at that time they said no. But I do know definetly Fort Tyron Park lets you hold the reception there. There is a small cafe/tent area in the park- it might be named the cloister cafe. Here's a link to the cloister, maybe someone in the cloister will be able to give you more info. Good Luck. P.S. Wave Hill is extremely beautiful and they do hold weddings there. It is more than my budget could handle. Something like 2000 contribution and then $150 a head (not sure - you should call if interested. Cloisters and Wave Hill are my favorites. Good Luck again. :) Cloister: http://www.metmuseum.org/collections/department.asp?dep=7 Wave Hill: http://www.wavehill.org/
