Reception Location Help Please

Reception Location Help Please

Hi Ladies.

I like the Old Field Club. I like the way it looks, the ballroom, the simple elegance. The cons for me are It's a bit pricey and it's far from me. I live in Long Beach.
For my style, the Bridgeview Yacht Club has pros and cons. I'm generally not a fan of lots of planted gardens, or waterfalls. Some people are, it's just a matter of taste. This isn't a huge deal, I can deal with this because the ballroom is really beautiful and I like the ballroom chairs. The pricing here is more reasonable. I would seriously consider booking here, but I really had my heart set on a friday evening, and the minimum amount of guests is 150. I'm only expecting about 125 guests. The club suggested a saturday afternoon, but I don't think I want to compromise in that area.

Can people please give me reception location suggestions for a party of 125 on a friday night?

Pros for me would be:
-openness/windows
-bamboo type chairs/not covered
-a clean and elegant look
-120 per person maximum/150 with tax and gratuity included
-Reasonably close to Long Beach/not all the way out in suffolk.

I really want to book soon. I really appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks girls.

Did you look at Lands End? I really loved it there !

It is one wedding at a time
a little on the pricier side
outside reception site
outside cocktail hr or indoor
has its own private beach
no fountains

I didn't check it out, but I think it's would be out of my price range. Also, i think it's even further than the Old Field Club. It does look very beautiful, but I'd prefer something closer and 120 max per person or under. Not looking to necessarily spend that much, but if all else is great about it, it's beautiful, great reviews, not too far, I'd pay that.

byc only has one garden which you could totally avoid (it's in a little secluded area behind the ballroom), and a TINY waterfall in the ceremony/outdoor table area that has a few flowers and plants around it! DEFINITELY less than you're going to find at most rhs...

the food is realllllllly great at byc too and they're super accomodating. did you try guaranteeing 125 but adding upgrades so your total would match the total price of having 150 ppl?

I second this a million times over. OFC was our first choice for a while, but my whole family is in Western Nassau and it would be a hike. The Riviera is absolutely gorgeous, has the chivari chairs, has a beautiful outdoor cocktail hour space, huge windows that look out over the bay in the ballroom, one wedding at a time and they are so great to work with. Their prices are a little less than the OFC as well. I have a 130 min for a Saturday evening, so I'm sure for a Friday it would be even lower.

FM me if you want more info

Try Millerridge Cottage, I've heard it is similar to the Old Field Club. It is one wedding at a time, and the food is delicious. I'm partial, I'm getting married there. Also the price was very reasonable. I have quotes for Friday nites, FM if you are interested!

check out Chateau La Mer. The upstairs ballroom you could probably have. Its got large windows over looking the water, gorgeous new crystal chandeliers, food is fantastic... and they are pretty reasonable.
