reception location...please help!!!

We have looked around for reception halls and the one that gave us the best prices for our budget is Brentwood CC. Are we cheaping out by going with them?? They are not my top choice but my FH refuses to look anywhere else.. Please help!!!

I had my reception at the Imperial Manor (now the sterling at bethpage) we paid less then 10,000 for approx 200 people reception!

Also, the Stuart Thomas Manor is nice as well and the food is excellent. I had my sweet 16 there back in the day when it had a different name.

Since I got married at the Brentwood Country Club, I guess I'd have to go with, NO you wouldn't be cheaping out. It is a great price. But that doesn't mean it isn't as good as someplace else. The food was fabulous - I can't tell you how many people told me how good it was. They made it look beautiful (we had the ceremony there as well, inside though we had hoped to have it in the gazebo and I wasn't sure how it would look, but they did such a good job) and the people were wonderful to work with. We used all of the vendors that are included with the package except the photographer (they give you credit for any if you want to use someone else) and they were great. I wasn't sure that a 'package' deal would be as good, but honestly, it was great and so much easier (for me.)
If you have any questions about any of it, let me know.
Good luck!

With a December date a lot of places are affordable - Try the Woodbury Country Club and the Swan Club - we got great quotes with them for Jan.

I've only been to one wedding at Brentwood. FM me if you want details.

Bellport CC is a beautiful reception site - gorgeous grounds, the food is delicious and the price includes cake, flowers and choice of table linens. (My sister got married there over 2 years ago - is why I know all this )

Was that before or after Bellport was taken over by the owners of the Irish Pub. Someone i know got married there a few years ago and it was very affordable. I went there b/c i loved the place and she told me what she paid.

Since it was taken over they jacked up the prices, i couldn't afford it. But maybe they offer a package in the winter. If so, it is a beautiful place.

Also you could try some halls on off days like a Saturday Afternoon or Sunday Afternoon. In december you should get some good prices. You could also try some of the Lessing places, like Timber Point the food is great here and the prices are very reasonable. But my mom goes to alot of affairs at the Brentwood Country Club they do all her work functions there and she raves about the place, and my mom is a hard women to impress.

My aunt got married at Brentwood CC three years ago, my brother got married at East Wind Country Gardens two months ago...I have to say, I liked Brentwood better! and I've heard they've finished renovations they had started just before her wedding. It's a great deal!

First, I'd like to say that I have heard nothing but good things about Brentwood CC...great food, great location, etc.

SEcond, did you try some of the Lessing's locations? I am a Timber Point Country Club bride...March 2004 and paying $53 pp plus tax and gratuity. They post their price range on the websites.

I'm not sure when it was taken over - I know my sisters package was very affordable. FH & I went there earlier this year - just to get an idea what different reception sites offered for what they were charging and it was still very affordable. The pricing went up about $5 from when my sister booked over 3 years ago.
